I'm an English coach based in Da Nang, Vietnam, and I've spent the last 6 years helping ambitious professionals sound as confident as they actually are.
My Story with English teaching
My relationship with English started early – I specialized in English linguistics from 5th through 12th grade and have always had a thing for languages. But my real education came from living it.
I spent 4 years teaching at a prestigious English center in Vladivostok, Russia, where I taught everything from business English to legal English, led pronunciation courses, developed course materials from scratch, and eventually became a coordinator.
Here's what those years taught me: I'm at my best when working with advanced learners who need REAL English for real situations – whether that's thriving in the States, navigating business relationships, or just feeling at home in English-speaking environments. The kind of English that textbooks don't cover.
My Qualifications
Two years ago, I decided to level up and pursue the CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) – Cambridge's internationally recognized certification that's considered the gold standard in English teaching worldwide.
The course pushed me to refine everything: lesson planning, error correction techniques, classroom management, understanding language acquisition at a deeper level. It validated what I already knew while expanding my toolkit with cutting-edge methodology backed by decades of research.
And I didn't just pass – I earned a Pass A – the highest grade possible, awarded to only 2-5% of all candidates globally. Every technique I use, every correction I make, every activity I design is grounded in proven methodology that works.
and here's my non-negotiable rule:
Quality Over Quantity
I watched too many talented teachers at that center burn out from jamming their schedules with back-to-back classes and students they didn't even like. So I made myself a promise: I only work with people where there's a genuine match, and I never overpack my schedule.
This gives me time to stay creative, learn new methods, give each student the attention they deserve, and actually ENJOY every single lesson.
So far? I'm one happy teacher.
